We take exceptional pride in every dish we create here at Doosra. We use top quality ingredients in order to achieve amazing flavours and textures. We support British farms, all our lamb & poultry served is Free Range.
We specialise in Tandoori & Curry dishes. Our real coal fired tandoor gives our tandoor dishes a distinctly smoky flavour. Our Head Chef serves up his secret family recipes, North Indian curries, as well as a few signature dishes. We cook in small batches to ensure consistency and quality. We grind our own spices weekly to ensure our dishes really pop with flavour, we make everything in-house, including our sauces.
I can’t get through to you on the landline?
When our restaurant is really really busy and we don’t have any more tables available & we can’t handle anymore takeaway orders; we switch the phone off.
Can I order a takeaway for collection?
Takeaway is available every day! However on Fridays & Saturdays you will need to get your orders in preferably before 7pm or at least 7.30pm
Thereafter our kitchen will be busy exclusively serving our dine in patrons! If you walk in after 7.30pm and request a takeaway you may have to wait a while for the kitchen to process your order because our dine in customers have to be served first.
Can I order a takeaway for delivery?
Sorry, we do not offer a delivery service.

The best time to catch us on the phone is between 5.30pm & 7pm Wed to Sun.
We might not be able to pick up the phone during our peak dining period i.e. 7 pm to 9.30 pm
On Fridays & Saturdays we offer an early seating 5.30/6.00 pm until 7.30/7.45 pm or a late seating 7.30/7.45/8.00/8.15 pm until close
We know that 7.30pm is a popular time of choice however we need to stagger the bookings so that kitchen can cope and service levels remain high.
Is your Poultry & Meat Free Range or Organic?
We proudly procure our supplies from Farmer’s Choice & Macken Brothers who support British Farms. All their Free Range Meat & Poultry is reared without any growth hormones or antibiotics. The meat is 100% grass fed.
Is your meat & poultry Halal?
Unfortunately our meat & poultry is not Halal.
Are children allowed?
Children under 11 can dine at Doosra but only during the early seating on Fridays & Saturdays.
Please also bear in mind that we have limited space inside the restaurant to park push chairs, wheelchair access must be respected. We currently have only one baby booster seat.
We make everything in house, so we are very confident about the information we provide.
All our products are free from artificial colouring and preservatives, except for a couple of bought in condiments.
We do not keep any peanuts or sesame seeds in our kitchen as we deem these products to pose a life threatening risk to a minority of allergy sufferers.
We use lots of different spices and some of them are packaged in the same open warehouses as sesame seeds, peanuts and other allergens, therefore trace contamination is possible.
The nuts we commonly use in our cooking are Almonds, Pine Nuts, Cashew & Pistachio; therefore there is a small possibility of trace cross contamination. Similarly cross contamination is also possible for any other allergens listed.
